THE Combined Districts Kart Club’s Lithgow Raceway will be inundated by more than 100 Lady Racers for the seventh annual Ladies Race Meeting on January 26 and 27.

With female kart racers coming from across the country, the Lithgow venue is set to be the epicenter of the women’s karting community while raising much-needed funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

While motorsport is considered a sport dominated by males, karting is one place where females regularly tackle the guys at their own game on an even playing field.

The lists have been long and interesting, but the common thread is that the track at Lithgow has supported girls in racing.

The only one of its kind in Australia, the January 26 and 27 event will see the female racers competing across a variety of categories from Cadets, aged between seven and 10 years, through to the senior ranks where a number of driver over the age of 50 will take to the track.

Tickets for this are available by contacting Russell Grimson on 02 4722 3847 or 0409 785 720.
