REVOLUTION RACEGEAR PARTNERS WITH AUSTRALIAN KART CHAMPIONSHIP

Australia’s leading motorsport apparel and safety equipment retailer, Revolution Racegear, has partnered with the 2015 Australian Kart Championship presented by Jayco and Castrol EDGE.

The new partnership will add further incentive for competitors on the Championship with the total prizepool now exceeding $160,000 across the eight classes.

“At Revolution Racegear we’ve always been keen on supporting grass roots motorsport and we see the new platform of the Australian Kart Championship as a great opportunity to get involved in the sport of karting,” said Revolution Racegear Managing Director Tullio Salta.

“We see karting as a fundamental part Australian motorsport and everyone at Revolution is excited about the new partnership.”

Karting Australia Chief Executive Officer Kelvin O’Reilly believes that having a partnership with such an iconic Australian motorsport brand is another significant boost for the Championship.

“We’re delighted to further enhance the prizepool for the competitors in the Championship thanks to the new partnership with Revolution Racegear,” said O’Reilly.

“Revolution Racegear is one of the most recongnisable brands in Australian motorsport.  We’re looking forward to working with Tullio and the team to further enhance their position in the karting circles through their involvement in the Australian Kart Championship.”

The partnership will see a further $10,000 in prizes distributed at the end of the Championship including six Bell RS7-K Helmets and Alpinestars racing suits and accessories.

A total of 220 entries have been received across eight classes for this weekend’s second round of the Australian Kart Championship in South Australia with practice for the Senior classes being held on Friday.  Qualifying and the heat races for all classes will be held from 8:30am on Saturday ahead of the finals on Sunday.

The event is being contested at the Monarto Kart Complex, which is located on Old Princess Highway, Monarto.  Admission for Spectators is free.
