Thursday diary from U18 World Champs Round 2 - Joseph Mawson

We woke up at 7am to head out to the track early in the morning. We then saw and greeted the TopKart team which consisted of Antonio (Team Manager), Guilio (Parsons mechanic), Federico (Team mate) and Paolo (Federico’s mechanic). Since we got to the track early we then went to the track restaurant, and had some coffee.

After talking and waiting at the restaurant we then went to the driver sign in where we got packages which contained important information for the weekend. After the driver sign in we went and unpacked our karts out of the van. We then began setting parts of our karts up but we couldnt do much since we have to pick up the engine and other compartments like exhaust and battery etc.

We didn’t have much to do, and we’re done for the day pretty early. Tomorrow is when the weekend and the excitement starts!
