GREAT RESULTS: Jordan McGregor (1st in junior light), Lachlan Hughes (1st in cadets) and Jay McGregor (3rd in rookies) with their trophies after the Queensland Closed Karting Titles presentation on Sunday.
ABOUT 160 drivers from right across Queensland competed in the Queensland Closed State Titles held at the Whitsunday Raceway on the weekend.
Drivers came from all parts of the state to take to the track just outside of Proserpine as the karting section of the Whitsunday Moto Sports Club hosted one of its biggest ever meetings.
There were some fantastic results for local drivers with Justin Fraser, Jake Downs, Darcy Robb, Leo Rodriguez, Adam Stroud, Robert Thorburn and Dale McDonnell all finishing the final within the top five of the state.
Karting president Adam Stroud was also fastest qualifier for the weekend in his class.
