KARTING ON SHOW AT THE GRAND PRIX

The line up on the Main Straight at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix

Karting Australia joined with the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport to expose the sport of karting to thousands of people during the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne last weekend.

The karting display, which was accompanied by the new Formula 4 that was unveiled on Friday and a Formula 4 car along with a pair of simulators, generating significant interest across the four days of the event.

The highlight of the weekend was when karting took centre stage on Sunday just prior to the Formula 1 Drivers Parade.  Experienced racers Adam Klunyk, Broc Feeney, David Sera and Jack Doohan took to the circuit alongside the new Formula 4 car and a Formula 1 car to highlight the pathways in the world of motorsport.

The level of interest by spectators throughout the entire weekend was significant with many genuinely interested parties enquiring about getting involved in the sport of karting.

A special thanks from Karting Australia goes to the Richard Sanders and his CAMS team along with the staff at DPE Kart Technology, Nick Percat, Karl Neilson, Mark Wickes, Brett Hughes, Mick Doohan, Paul Feeney, Adam Klunyk, David Sera, Broc Feeney and Jack Doohan for their assistance throughout the event.
