The eyes of the karting world will this weekend focused on Las Vegas in America as SuperNationals XVIII is contested.

The 18th annual SKUSA SuperNationals has attracted more than 500 entries from all parts of the globe to make it once again the world’s largest karting event of the year.

Several Australian drivers will line up in the elite KZ2 class including Kel Treseder, Darren Burke, Matthew Hunt and Sam Houston while David Sera will be aiming to finally break through in the TAG Senior class.

Sera finished runner-up to fellow Australian Nicholas Rowe in last year’s event and came tantalisingly close to victory in 2010.  Fellow Australians Duvashen Padayachee, Ben Stewart, Kris Walton and Liam McLellan will join him on the TAG Senior grid this weekend.

Jack Doohan, who finished fourth at the 2013 event, will be aiming to round out his stellar year with a strong result while Lochie Hughes will be one to watch also.  Jay Hanson, Jac Preston, Broc Feeney, Sean Bolger, Zayd Tones and Flynn Jackes will join the pair in the field that includes no less than 88 drivers.

In addition to the significant number of Australians, a number of top line American motorsport stars will also be in action – none more so than IndyCar Star Marco Andretti who will replaced Scott Speed in the S1 field that also features Victorian Jordie Ford.

Detailed below is list of Australian entries.  Practice begins on Thursday (Australian time) with an official on-track schedule available by clicking here (local time in Las Vegas is -19 hours on AEDT).

Information throughout the event will be updated regularly on ekartingnews.com with ‘Aussie watch’ updated posted here on karting.net.au.
