More than 100 of Australia’s top kart racers will take centre stage at the Go-Kart Club of Victoria on Monday, March 10, as the Stars of Karting event launches “Race Week” for the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025.

Featuring four karting categories Cadet 12 (Under 13 y/o Drivers), KA2 (Elite Juniors), TaG 125 (Drivers aged 15 and Over), and KZ2 (the ‘F1 of karting’) – the event will showcase the raw talent and high-speed action that makes karting the foundation of motorsport.

The KZ2 class, renowned for its six-speed gearbox karts capable of reaching speeds in excess of 140 km/h, will headline the event alongside KA2, a category that has helped shape the careers of Australian Formula 1 drivers Oscar Piastri and Jack Doohan.

The Go-Kart Club of Victoria is a fitting venue, having played a pivotal role in the careers of both drivers. In 2015, Piastri secured victory in the KA2 final at the first-ever round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship, while Doohan clinched the KA2 Australian Championship at the same venue in 2016.

With both Piastri and Doohan set to be on track at Albert Park later that week in Formula 1 action, the Stars of Karting event will provide fans with a unique opportunity to witness the next generation of motorsport talent in action.

Qualifying will begin at 3:00pm followed by Sprint and Feature Races, Admission is free for spectators.

The Go-Kart Club of Victoria is located at 100 Todd Road, Port Melbourne.
