STATEMENT: QUEENSLAND KART CHAMPIONSHIP

Karting Queensland would like to advise that the opening round of the 2017 Queensland Kart Championship, scheduled to be held in Mackay on April 7-9, has been postponed.

The postponement is due to the damage to Mackay and surrounding regions when hit by Cyclone Debbie on Tuesday.

Along with significant flooding, road closures and loss of power to more than 50,000 homes and businesses in the area, the Mackay circuit is currently underwater.

A new date will be scheduled for the event in the coming weeks and we encourage all Queensland karters to support the Club and Mackay region as they rebuild from the cyclone.

For those who have already entered for the event, your entry will remain valid.  Should you be unable to compete on the rescheduled date, a refund will be made available.
