The Scuderia PCR brand has been synonymous with success in the karting world over many years, and Scuderia PCR Australia’s Tommy Gallo is aiming for more in 2018.

After coming tantalisingly close to the KA1 title in the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship, presented by Castrol EDGE last year with Kyle Henry-Smith, Gallo is focused on achieving more success in 2018.

Throughout the past few years, the Scuderia PCR Australia outfit has seen numerous drivers gain significant success in the Italian brand at a local, State and National level across the country.

With a new point-scoring system introduced for the 2018 Manufacturers Championship in the Australian Kart Championship, it provides a greater opportunity for the smaller importers and manufacturers at success which is something that has Gallo excited.

“The PCR brand has been successful all across the world and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to get some good results here in Australia over the past few years.  We’ve certainly shown what a small importer can do,” said Gallo.

“We’ve always enjoyed the benefits of being a part of the Manufacturers Championship, and now the restructured points will give us ‘little guys’ more of a chance at succeeding against the larger manufacturers and importers.”

There will be ten drivers lining up in PCR machinery at the opening round of the 2018 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship later this month (Feb 23-25) in South Australia.

Registrations for both the Teams Championship and Manufacturers Championship close on Wednesday February 7.  For further information on how to register please email lee@karting.net.au
