Queensland karting industry member Michael Rolfe has been announced as the new Australian distributor of Praga Karts.
Manufactured by IPKarting in Salizzole, Italy, Praga Karts enjoy success at all levels of the sport around the world – from Club level to the World Championship.
In Australia, Praga Karts has been victorious in the Australian Kart Championship and Rotax Pro Tour over the past few years. In 2019, Luke Pink has piloted his Praga Kart to the top step on the podium in the KA2 class at the Australian Kart Championship to be leading the standings. Likewise, Jonathan Marcusson and Fraser hart have enjoyed success in the Rotax Pro Tour. Hugh Barter is currently sitting second in KA4 Praga junior Kart in the Australian Kart Championship and 3rd in J-Max at the Rotax Pro Tour.
For Rolfe, the addition of the Praga Kart alongside the importing of the sister-brand OK1 that he currently distributes, is a natural fit.
“I have been running the OK1 brand out of the IPK stable for just about a year and with the full support of the IPK factory in Italy I look forward to adding the Praga Karts to the arsenal of Karts to supply to the Australian market,” said Rolfe.
“Over the years, I’ve had a close association with the Praga brand and look forward to continuing to support the Australian Drivers around the country and we look forward to achieving some great results into the future.”
