Karting Australia has confirmed that round four of the 2022 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship will be hosted by the Emerald Karting Club on July 15-17.

Having most recently hosted a round of the Championship in 2019, the Central Queensland town has been selected by Karting Australia as the host venue for the penultimate round in the 2022 schedule.

“The Emerald Karting Club has previously hosted three great rounds of the Australian Kart Championship and we look forward to enjoying a huge welcome back to the region in July,” said Karting Australia Chief Executive Officer Kelvin O’Reilly.

“It’s a great facility – one of the best in the country and we are looking forward to bringing the southern hemisphere’s largest and most professional karting championship back to Central Queensland.

“The Australian Kart Championship will be one of the largest sporting events in the region for 2022 and it will be great to able to showcase the sport of karting to the Emerald community once again.”

The announcement completes the line-up of venues for the 2022 Championship that kicked off in Melbourne on the final weekend of February.  The Bolivar Raceway in South Australia will host round two on April 15-17 ahead of round three in Seymour, Victoria on June 3-5.  Following the Queensland round in July, the Championship will conclude in Newcastle on August 19-21 where the Champions will be crowned at a Gala Dinner on the Sunday evening.
