TASMANIAN KART CHAMPIONSHIPS ON THE LINE THIS WEEKEND

More than 100 competitors have made their way to the Smithton region to battle for the 2022 Tasmanian Kart Championship presented by Tall Timbers.

The event, hosted by the Circular Head Kart Club, will see 11 drivers rewarded with the prestigious blue plate as Champion for 2022.

Alongside of the Tasmanian regulars, a number of ‘mainland’ drivers have made the trip across Bass Strait for the event – including Australian Kart Championship front-runner Jackson Souslin-Harlow from New South Wales and a number of young Victorian drivers.

There are also a number of second-generation racers featured on the entry list – including the likes of Tabitha and Adelaide Ambrose (daughters of two-time Supercars Champion Marcos).

Practice begins today around the 755-metre circuit ahead of qualifying and heat races tomorrow.  The finals will be contested on Sunday.

Results will be posted here https://speedhive.mylaps.com/Events/2074188 or through the MYLAPS Speedhive App across the weekend.
