ABOUT KARTING AUSTRALIA’S CLUB DEVELOPMENT GRANTS PROGRAM

Karting Australia is pleased to extend the opportunity for its Affiliated Clubs to access funding through the Club Development Grants Program. This fund has been established as a cornerstone of Karting Australia’s dedication to promoting membership expansion and fostering enhanced participation within clubs and the broader community.

Aligned with Karting Australia’s strategic vision, clubs are invited to submit proposals for initiatives and events aimed at:

  • bolstering new membership acquisition, participation and retention efforts,
  • fostering greater female representation in karting, and
  • strengthening volunteer recruitment and retention efforts.

By championing these core objectives, clubs can play an instrumental role in increasing both club membership figures and overall participant engagement within the sport of karting.

The Karting Australia Club Development Grants Program is now open. Round 1 applications of up to $2,000 are now being accepted.

There are three different funding areas open to clubs, with projects that fit within each category likely to receive funding. They are:

  1. Girls Race Too
  2. Volunteer Recruitment and Action Plan Fulfilment
  3. New Member Recruitment and Participation Programs

Funding is available to all Karting Australia affiliated clubs. The Club Development Grants Program has been created as a way to help clubs grow and develop by supplying funds, which can be used to conduct marketing campaigns, run programs that are ready-to-go and that meet the funding criteria.

The first round of funding is open for 5 weeks from 11 October, 2024. Clubs have until 11:59pm AEST on 17 November, 2024 to apply for funding and can do so by submitting the online application form. We aim to advise all applicants of the outcome of their round one application by mid December.

What Can Grants Be Used For?

There are three main areas where clubs can use this funding:

Girls Race Too: Programs and marketing initiatives to encourage more girls to participate in karting. [Have you thought about refreshing the ladies bathroom if you don’t have the budget for a rebuild? A repaint in bright and attractive colours, new lighting, new counters, new toilets or showers, new locks, adding some liquid hand soaps and hand lotion, new mirrors, new hand towel or toilet paper dispensers are just some simple and budget friendly ways to make your club more female-friendly].

Volunteer Recruitment and Action Plan Fulfilment: Initiatives and marketing activities to recruit and retain volunteers.

New Member Recruitment & Participation Programs: Projects to attract new members and increase participation.
