Karting Australia confirms that Round Two of the 2021 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE is to be contested in Melbourne, Victoria on March 12-14.
To be hosted by Go-Kart Club of Victoria, the event will be subject to COVID restrictions – which include a maximum of 1,000 attendees at the venue and all attendees will be required to sign in upon arrival.
Competitors who have pre-paid for the entire Championship will be automatically entered. All other competitors will be able to enter through the Karting Australia CMS at 6pm AEDT Tuesday February 23, 2021. The closing date for entries will be 11:59pm Sunday February 28.
Entries will only be accepted until the track capacity (36) is reached in the respective Class. Competitors wishing to enter following the track capacity being reached are required to email media@karting.net.au to be placed on a reserve list.
Practice will be scheduled for Friday March 12 ahead of Qualifying and heat races on Saturday March 13 and the Finals on Sunday March 14.
The Go-Kart Club of Victoria will be holding their monthly Club Day this weekend, the Championship Regulations allow for ALL AKC Competitors to race at this event – Interstate Licence Holders competing in the AKC are unable to practice outside of this event at the venue. The Circuit is closed to ALL Competitors from 12:01pm on Monday March 1.
