AUSTRALIAN KART CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 4 POSTPONED TO JULY 23-25

Victorian Government exit from COVID-19 Lockdown requirements cause too much uncertainty tallow the Meeting tproceed aoriginally scheduled.

Karting Australia advises that Round Four of the 2021 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE, that was scheduled for June 25-27 has been postponed.

The announcement follows the conservative lifting of gathering restrictions throughout Victoria that were announced on Wednesday.

Advice from local government authorities is that it is unlikely that the current COVID gathering restrictions will ease sufficiently prior to the event for it to proceed in its normal manner. In the circumstances, it is in the best interests of CompetitorsOfficials and our Host Club – Eastern Lions, to postpone the event until July 23-25.

General Rules, Chapter 1, Rule 25 b) (i) and (ii)will apply to the postponement of the Meeting.
“b) Postponement means the Meeting or Competition cannot begin on the proposed date.

(i) In the case of a Postponement of the commencement of a Meeting for more than 24 hours, entry fees shall be returned on a written request (e.g. email / letter / fax) by the Competitor to the Organiser within 14 days from the postponement.

(ii) If this has not been received, the Competitor will be re-entered into the re-scheduled Meeting.Accordingly, competitors who are properly entered in the event will remain in the entry system and will be re-entered in the rescheduled meeting. Any Competitor who wishes to withdraw their entry and receive a refund of their round entry fee should email media@karting.net.au with that request prior to June 25.

The final round of the Championship will remain unchanged on August 27-29, hosted by the Newcastle Kart Racing Club in New South Wales.
