Queenslander Mason Barbera added another pair of State Championships to his career achievements at the 2014 NSW State Championships in Port Macquarie on Sunday.
Barbera was victorious in both the Rotax Heavy and DD2 classes. In the Rotax Heavy class, where Barbera is the current National Champion, the Troy Farley Race Engines-powered CRG driver led home fellow Queenslanders Lane Moore and Chris Farkas. Gold Coast domiciled New Zealander Josh Hart finished runner-up in the DD2 class.
In his first major event with the Karting World team, Nathan Tigani took a clean sweep aboard his Tony Kart in Rotax Light ahead of Brock Plumb.
In DD2 Masters, Scott Howard appeared on track to claim the victory before a last corner incident with Chris Broad forced him off the circuit allowing Adam Hunter to collect the win.
Victorian Sean Larkin won Cadets while Thomas Hughes was victorious in Junior Rotax.
