Local equipment hire supplier, Coates Hire will partner with the Race of Stars to be held on the Gold Coast as a part of the V8 Superfest on Saturday 18 October.
The Race of Stars will see more than 150 of the world’s top kart racers converge on the Gold Coast’s Xtreme Karting facility at Pimpama to compete at the invitational event.
Coates Hire’s Group Manager, Marketing, Jeremy Hill believes the Race of Stars event provides a perfect platform for the company to support a community event whilst establishing a vital link to its other motorsport sponsorship platforms.
“The Race of Stars is a fantastic community event and this will be the second year we have been involved. Coates Hire has been a longstanding part of the motorsport community and is proud to be able to support an event that not only aligns well with our customers and staff but also encourages the growth and development of young drivers,” said Hill.
Coates Hire Racing Ambassador and 2011 Bathurst winner; Nick Percat is testament to the focus the company has on supporting up and coming talent.
Percat, along with numerous other V8 Supercar drivers will be in attendance at the event that will also see World Champions Davide Forè, Jonathan Thonon and numerous other international stars in action. The competitors in the elite KZ2 class are expected to reach speeds in excess of 160 km/h around the 1600-metre circuit.
The involvement of Coates Hire with Race of Stars adds to the hire company’s existing motorsport platforms including holding Official Equipment Hire Supply and Sponsorship rights to the V8 Supercars Championship, Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and MotoGP, as well as the Official Naming Rights Sponsor of the Coates Hire Rally Australia recently held in Coffs Harbour.
Entry to the Race of Stars for spectators is free. Racing will commence at 8:00am on Saturday October 18 before culminating in the finals from 2:00pm.
