Tony Kart Australia driver Jack Bell claimed an emotional victory at the 2021 Victorian Kart Championship hosted by the Oakleigh Go-Kart Racing Club on Sunday.
Bell was victorious in the X30 Light class at the event leading him team-mate Jordan Dudfield before dedicating the win to one of his closest friend Adam Pasek who passed away suddenly last
month.
After winning the KA3 Senior Australian Kart Championship in 2019, Bell made the transition into the X30 ranks at the start of 2020 and Sunday’s win is the 21 year-old’s win biggest of his career in the class.
Parolin youngster Lewis Francis was the pacesetter all weekend in Cadet 12, but his campaign came to an early end when he spun on the penultimate lap after holding a commanding lead in the final. Francis’ demise enabled the Burns brothers – Jenson and Jaxson – to take home a one-two finish back to Queensland.
Veteran James Sera added another State Championship to his lengthy collection with victory in the KA3 Senior Light class – as did Matthew Wall in TaG 125 Heavy.
