Karting Australia, in partnership with SP Tools, has produced a number of videos to assist newcomers to gain an understanding of the basics of kart racing.
Hosted by seven-time Australian Karting Champion Troy Hunt, the 16 videos explain a variety of aspects from what to look for when purchasing your first kart, priming the engine, the tools you require, front track width and wheel alignment along with many other topics.
“When you’re first starting in the sport of karting it can be a very daunting thought to understand all of the idiosyncrasies of the sport. These videos have been designed to assist in breaking down the barriers for the newcomers,” said Karting Australia Chief Executive Officer Kelvin O’Reilly.
“Hosted by one of the most experience people we have in our sport, Troy Hunt, the videos provide a great overview of what you require to go racing along with a lot of other aspects.
“They’re not designed to be overly technical, they cover the basic principals of our sport to get people started and on track with a minimum of fuss.”
