Round 4 of the 2016 Rotax Pro Tour National Series will not only play host to some of the best drivers from Australia and closest racing in the country, Head of BRP-Powertrain’s Rotax Karting division, Helmut Voglsam will be a special guest at the event accompanied by Australia’s own, Darrell Smith and Jenny Wade.
With the Ipswich event having long been one of the most supported and best attended rounds within the series, Helmut is taking the opportunity to visit Australia and be part of the Pro Tour event, citing it as a key opportunity to represent the brand and experience the Rotax Karting scene in Australia.
“I am sincerely looking forward to joining the entire Rotax team in Australia at Ipswich for the Pro Tour event. Australia has always produced strong competitive drivers at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals, which is testament to the success of the Rotax Pro Tour,” said Voglsam.
“It will also be a great chance to speak directly to those drivers and teams to gather feedback and ideas to further grow and strengthen the Rotax Karting brand in Australia.”
Also in attendance will be Rotax Karting’s Official test driver and member of the Product and Technical Development Team, Darrell Smith. He will be joining Helmut in visiting the various dealers and drivers at the Pro Tour, identifying it as a chance to get a feel for the ongoing growth and enthusiasm both within the Pro Tour series and use of the Rotax 125 engine in Australia.
Joining Smith will be Jenny Wade, who each year forms part of the exciting live coverage of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals, covering the pit and paddock area with interviews which includes gathering all the latest news and information trackside.
International Karting Distributors (IKD) are excited to welcome Helmut Voglsam, Darrell Smith and Jenny Wade to the Ipswich Pro Tour event and look forward to them being actively part of the weekend.
