IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION FOR CLUBMAN COMPETITORS

The Australian Karting Association (AKA) and Yamaha Motor Australia would like to advise all competitors in the Clubman categories of the following important information.

Due to a change in the manufacturing process of some Yamaha KT-100SE engines, these products have been found to have been delivered to Australian consumers with grinding marks on the inlet port. These marks could deem your engine illegal for use in AKA competition.

If you have recently purchased a Yamaha KT-100SE it is strongly advised that you inspect the engine, or have a representative from the place of purchase inspect your engine, to ensure it complies to the current regulations.

Should you be concerned with the condition of your engine, you or your engine builder should contact Yamaha Motor Australia’s National Power Products Sales & Marketing Manager Adam Wolfenden on 03 9703 5427.

The AKA and Yamaha Motor Australia are working with the factory to resolve the situation and will notify competitors in the near future of the actions that will be put in place to remedy the situation.
