INCREASED PRIZE POOL FOR CIK STARS OF KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP

In addition to the $30,000 in scholarships and prizes for top three in the CIK class, the Rookies, TAG 125 Light and Heavy classes will also be vying for $25,000 of prizes

The prize pool for the 2014 CIK Stars of Karting Championship presented by Castrol EDGE has increased even further.

In addition to the $30,000 in scholarships and prizes for top three Championship finishers in the CIK classes, the Rookies, TAG 125 Light and Heavy classes will also be vying for $25,000 of prizes.

An initiative by ALM Sales, a long-standing supporter of the CIK Championship in Australia, will see Dunlop Kartsport partner with Burson Automotive Group and Kincrome Tools to provide the substantial prize pool.

Along with a substantial prize pool at each event the overall series winners in TAG Light and Heavy winning a $6000.00 CONTOUR 600 piece 17 Draw WORKSHOP KIT each and the Rookie series winner will start their tool collection off with a $2000.00 CONTOUR 200 piece 15 draw tool kit.

May is excited about the new partnership and pleased to introduce two new companies, the caliber of Burson and Kincrome to Australian Karting.

“Along with a substantial financial commitment from Dunlop Kartsport, bringing Burson Automotive Group and Kincrome tools to the table allows us now to reward competitors, in these classes, attractive and useful prizes,” said Dunlop Kartsport’s Les May.

As revealed during the opening round in Ipswich, one of the world’s leading motorsport apparel brands, Freem, has also joined as a partner of the Championship for 2014.

The Freem Fastest Qualifier in each of the three CIK classes will receive a voucher towards Freem apparel at each round with further prizes also to be distributed to competitors throughout the year.

Entries for Round Two of the CIK Stars of Karting Championship at South Australia’s Bolivar Raceway on May 3/4 close this evening.
