Karting Australia advises owners of the IAME KA100 and Vortex Mini Rok engines of a Technical Rule Interpretation (TRI) and revision of the Homologation document for the respective engines.
The recently released TRI 15-05 relates to the carburettor on the IAME KA100. This TRI can be found by clicking here.
The changes in the Homologation document reflect the removal of the restriction on the temperature sensor, specified NGK spark plug and the fuel overflow bottle. To view the revised Homologation document please click here.
It should be noted that the Vortex Mini Rok engine runs quite cool and the restriction of the temperature sensor kept Australia in line with many other countries that use the engine. However, following further investigation Karting Australia has decided with the distributor to bring the sensor in line with our other Karting Australia classes and remove the restriction.
Karting Australia acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities.
