Australian Jack Doohan finished sixth at the 2017 CIK-FIA World Championship in England on Sunday.

Doohan started the final from position seven and was in a train of eight karts battling for positions in the opening half of the race. When two karts collided in front of him on lap six he was forced to take avoiding action and dropped to 13th place.

He fought back to cross the line sixth.

The Championship was won by Scottish driver Dexter Patterson ahead of English pair Christopher Lulham and Harry Thompson.

Lochie Hughes was the best of the Australian trio in the OK Class being classified 55th, Jace Matthews was 73rd and Flynn Jackes 84th.  British driver Danny Keirle was crowned Champion.
