“At one stage he was racing in four classes but in April he dropped two because these are performance classes and the others were slower, and also he go too big for the kart” his mother Angela Ojeda said.
“As a parent, you’re quite proud. He’s been doing this for eight years now and the reason we got him into karting was because when he was little he always took to things with wheels.”
As the Australian champion and the winner of two series, he will compete in Spain next month, followed by a trip to Italy as part of Team Australia for the 2015 CIK-FIA Winter Cup.

“Spain is going to be a great experience; a lot of fun,” Jayden said.
“There’s a lot of physical training ahead. The comp is going to be really intense, so I’ll have to push hard and hopefully Dad can tick all the boxes on the kart.
“I’d like to lead for half a lap. Hopefully we can go in with a plan and come out with a good result.”

Jayden is the latest nominee for the Penrith Press Junior Sports Star award, sponsored by Rebel.
“He’s just excelled,” Mrs Ojeda said. “He has all the right people around him.
“It’s such an expensive sport and he has done so well to be able to showcase the sport.”

Jayden said he loves going fast and spending time with his dad and knows where he wants to end up.
“Formula one is the top goal. There’s plenty of other branch offs to it but that is the big number one goal, it would be a great experience to get to there,” he said.
