Western Australian Kip Foster and Victorian Oscar Piastri have led the way as karting enters a busy period of events for Australian drivers throughout Europe and America.
Last weekend, Foster made up for the disappointment of last year at the IAME X30 International Final by being victorious in the X30 Masters class at the 2014 event. His win was just as dramatic as his disqualification last year with Foster being awarded the win as a ‘dead heat’ with Englishman Graham Hill after the pair came together exiting the final turn.
Piastri charged his way from 21st on the grid in the final of the X30 Junior class at the Le Mans circuit to finish third in his maiden event outside of Australia.
Also competing internationally across the weekend was Sydney-sider Jack Black who finished fifth in the Pan American Rotax Challenge in Mooresville, North Carolina, USA.
This weekend Jordan Dudfield, Josh Fife, Broc Feeney and Tyler O’Leary will be competing at the RoK Cup International Final in Lonato, Italy. Follow the action on http://www.vortex-rok.com/rok_international_final/2014/index_uk.php
Throughout November, there will be a plethora of Australian drivers competing in the SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas and Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Spain.
