NEW GRANTS PROGRAM LAUNCHED FOR KARTING AUSTRALIA CLUBS

Karting Australia has opened a new exciting Grants Program for affiliated Clubs.

The Club Development Grants Program offers affiliated clubs an opportunity to access funding to support their efforts to expand membership, boost participation, and enhance engagement with the broader community. Through this initiative, Karting Australia is reaffirming its commitment to growing the sport of karting from the grassroots level and beyond.

The Club Development Grants are a vital part of Karting Australia’s strategic vision to foster long-term growth. Affiliated clubs are encouraged to submit proposals for projects that align with three core objectives:

  • Recruiting and retaining new members: Programs and initiatives aimed at attracting fresh faces to karting, with a focus on expanding participation and keeping members engaged for the long term.
  • Fostering female participation: Through the “Girls Race Too” initiative, clubs can apply for funds to implement programs that create a more welcoming environment for women and girls in karting. This includes marketing efforts and facility improvements, such as upgrading female amenities.
  • Strengthening volunteer recruitment and retention: Volunteers are the backbone of every successful karting club. Grants can help clubs develop strategies and plans to attract and keep these crucial supporters.

“Karting Australia is proud to launch the Club Development Grants Program, which provides our affiliated clubs with crucial support to strengthen and grow their operations at the grassroots level,” said Karting Australia CEO Kelvin O’Reilly.

“We’re excited to see the innovative ideas and projects that emerge from this program, and we encourage all eligible clubs to take full advantage of this opportunity to boost participation, improve facilities, and foster stronger connections with their communities.”

The first round of funding offers grants of up to $2,000 and applications are open until November 17, 2024. Successful applications are required to begin in early 2025. Whether your club is looking to develop a marketing campaign, improve facilities, or host activities to encourage greater participation, the Club Development Grants are designed to help.

Clubs that are interested in applying can access the online application form by visiting https://www.karting.net.au/administration/club-development-grants.  Successful applicants will be notified by mid-December, with projects expected to kick off shortly thereafter. Karting Australia is proud to be leading this initiative and looks forward to seeing the creative and impactful projects that will help shape the future of karting across the country.

If your club has a vision for growth, now is the time to act! Take advantage of this unique opportunity to secure funding and make a lasting difference in your community.
