Karting Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Samantha Reid to the Board of Directors.
Samantha, a former kart racer during her younger years, joins the Board as a casual vacancy in accordance with the Australian Karting Association Ltd constitution. Nearing the completion of her Masters of Business Administration, her vast array of experience within the automotive and motorsport industry over the past decade adds further depth to the Karting Australia Board.
Samantha has previously held the position of Chairperson on the Women of Australian Motor Sport, was formerly the Australian delegate on the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission and has extensive experience at national and international level with Motorsport Australia and the FIA volunteer management and training programs.
“We are very pleased to have Samantha join the Karting Australia Board of Directors and I’m looking forward to the experience and significant skills set that she will be able to share with us to further enhance the Board,” said Karting Australia Chairman Glen Egan.
“Samantha’s inclusion adds further depth, quality and strength to the skills-based Board as we look to continue to focus on creating better karting communities that work and play together.”
For Samantha, the opportunity to join the Board of Directors is an exciting one.
“Karting was an instrumental and enjoyable time in my motorsport journey. I am excited to join the Karting Australia Board to help build on the momentum they’ve achieved in recent years,” said Samantha.
