Karting Australia has confirmed the schedule for the 2025 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol.
The five-round Championship will kick off in Melbourne at the Go-Kart Club of Victoria from March 28-30. This opening round coincides with a major month of motorsport in Victoria, with the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix taking place just weeks prior from March 13-16.
Each of the four confirmed venues has previously hosted a round of the prestigious Championship. Round Two, set for May 2-4 at the Go-Kart Club of SA, will once again be contested in a clockwise direction at the Monarto Karting Complex, the same format used in 2023. As previously announced, Newcastle will host Round Three from June 13-15, followed by the Ipswich Kart Club for Round Four from July 25-27. The venue for the Grand Final round, scheduled for September 5-7, will be announced in the coming weeks.
A total of 15 venues submitted expressions of interest to host a round of the Championship, underscoring the popularity of the series.
“Each year, the Australian Kart Championship has continued to build, and we look forward to another great year in 2025 with our host clubs and venues,” said Karting Australia CEO Kelvin O’Reilly.
“Starting the season in Melbourne right after the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix sets the tone for an exciting year of racing, and we look forward to continuing the momentum throughout the remaining rounds.”
The 2025 Championship Regulations will be released next week with full Championship entries set to open in early December.
