This weekend sees the senior debut of 2015’s KF3 Australian Karting Champion Reece Sidebottom. Reece will join the recently renamed KA1 class in Dubbo, New South Wales at the first round of the Australian Kart Championships.
Sidebottom, with 11 state titles and a national championship under his belt has been given the opportunity to drive this weekend in a class he is particularly excited about.
“This is the top non gearbox class in the world, so getting used to the power these new Vortex Engine’s pump out along with the extra grip is something any driver wants more of, but generally I’m excited about the entire weekend and being back in a kart,” said Sidebottom
The KA1 class is gaining momentum with the new direct drive Vortex Rok DVS engines. Paul Feeney of PFG which import the new Vortex Rok DVS Engines says ‘
“Selecting Sidebottom to represent the brands involved was an easy decision. Reece is a gentleman of the sport, a driver that provides fantastic feedback and when it comes to racing he knows when and how to win,” said Feeney.
With a string of achievements under his belt including 10th position at last year’s Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final, Sidebottom has an aspiring career ahead of him.
This weekend, Sidebottom will be driving a Kosmic Mercury under the Vortex Engines and Reevu Motorsport banner.
