2019 will be historic for the Shamick Racing brand. Since their inception on the karting scene in 2010 they have never before committed to a single go-kart chassis for their customers and team alike.
Moving forward Shamick Racing will be competing under the Parolin Australia banner.
“A recent trip to Italy confirmed that the family owned and operated company of Parolin shared very similar values to what makes up Shamick Racing. The purpose of our business is to provide value to our customers and a supportive leadership that enhances the talent of our junior team members,” said Luke May – Team Principal, Shamick Racing.
“Just like father Albino and his son Marco Parolin, we are committed to developing young driver talent. The collaboration with Parolin will allow us to set a pathway up for our drivers and I feel like it is the right time. Parolin is already having an impact on the karting market, arguably the most dominant cadet/mini chassis worldwide and I feel like we have so much more to come.”
“We are very proud of the success of our new focus on youth categories. We have managed to develop a chassis that is very easy to use and competitive in all conditions. We did not only want to shine at the highest level, but above all to offer equipment capable of meeting the needs of drivers of all levels, whatever the engine, tyres or weather conditions they are faced with in each country,” Marco Parolin – Marketing Manager, Parolin Racing.
Parolin Racing kart is one of the most important kart manufacturers in the world. A self-sufficient operation where almost everything is done in house. Shamick Racing have already received their first shipment of karts, spare parts and accessories. All current stock has been SOLD OUT but more is on its way and arriving in January 2019.
In 2019 Shamick Racing will concentrate on two key areas of karting in Australia. The Australian Kart Championship is the elite level of competition so a factory team will be entered with drivers in Cadet 9, Cadet 12, KA2, KA3 and X30. At the same time grassroots karting is such an important part of the structure of karting in our country. Shamick Racing want to get to as many Victorian Country Series race meetings as the calendar allows to display the Parolin product. This series has proven to attract great fields and offers a different element to racing with limited practice. Early testing has shown that the Parolin product is user friendly and fast straight out of the box in Australia.
The factory team will offer second hand karts throughout the year to help those on limited budgets achieve what they desire and we look forward to seeing you all at the track!
