Shamick Racing set to tackle AKC opener

Shamick Racing is looking forward to 2019 as the team get set to tackle the opening round of the Australian Kart Championship at Ipswich Kart circuit on February 15-17.

In its maiden year aboard the Parolin product Shamick Racing drivers will contest the Le Mans chassis in KA2, X30, TaG and KA3. Cadet 9 and 12 will see our drivers in the ever conquering Opportunity model.

At the opening WSK Promotion event in Italy, 31.45% of competitors chose the Parolin product. A staggering 50 of the 159 entrants across the board in all classes driving Parolin karts. The next largest manufacturer only having 11.32% of the market share with 18 drivers.

A phenomenal 41 entrants in 60 mini (cadet) category chose Parolin at Champions Cup and this was followed up with a 1, 2, 3 result at Adria for the Super Master Series opener. Wet or dry we are confident we have supplied our drivers with the very best product on the market.

“The kart has been well balanced out of the box. Testing has gone well so let’s see what we can achieve under race conditions in the Australian Kart Championship. Once we have gained good product knowledge we will be looking to branch out and offer the product to other teams moving forward and expand the presence of Parolin as evidently has happened in Europe- Team Principal, Luke May.”

To further strengthen the brands introduction to the Australian Kart Championship, Shamick Racing will be joined by Marketing Manager Marco Parolin and team mechanic Michael Marchetti from Italy for Round 1 at Ipswich.
