Shannons Insurance is pleased to announce their continued support of 11-year-old Emerson Harvey for the 2015 Cadet 12 Go-Kart season.

Shannons recognise Emerson’s great promise in the sport, having finished the 2014 season as Club Champion for the Go-Kart Club of Victoria and Karter of the Year.

This year Emerson will compete in the Cadet 12 class which for the first time in over 30 years will have an Australian No1 title up for grabs with a 5 round National series.  Emerson has had a busy start to the year and is currently leading the Victorian State series.

Emerson’s Grand Father & Australian racing legend John Harvey says “ I’m so pleased to see Shannons Insurance involved with Emerson again, karting is where all of the big names in motor-sport around the world have started and to have such a great Australian company behind him is just fantastic.”

Marketing Manager of Shannons Insurance Mark Behr adds, “On behalf of Shannons we are proud to continue our support of Emerson Harvey. We believe it’s vital companies get behind younger talent and foster their aspirations to build a career in Australian motor-sport. I’m sure, with the aid of his grandfather, John Harvey and the rest of his family, Emerson will put in a great effort as part of the Karting championship this year.”

Emerson has his sights set on the Victorian and National titles and with more than 40 kids from all over the country competing for the same prize it will make for some sensational racing.

Emerson wants to add a helmet tribute to his famous Pa this year and has also said he wants to Co/drive with either Jamie Whincup or James Courtney at Bathurst when he is old enough.
