Victorian Shaun Costello is in the box seat to claim a pair of victories at the Tasmanian State Championships being hosted by the Circular Head Kart Club in Smithton this weekend.
After qualifying, the two heat races and pre-final have been completed Costello will start on pole position for the final in both the Junior National Light and Heavy categories. In Junior National Light he will be joined on the front row by fellow Victorian Oscar Piastri with Cooper Murray and Jackson Callow on the second row. Lismore’s Natasha Herne will occupy the outside front row starting position alongside Costello for the Junior National Heavy final.
Jordan Caurso will look to finish his year on a high in the Rookies category when he starts on pole position for tomorrow’s championship final while karting veteran Alan Fitzpatrick will be out to break a lengthy drought when he starts on pole position in the Clubman Heavy ranks.
