Ahead of the Rotax Pro Tour this weekend in Port Macquarie, NSW, Simon Hodge Racing has this week officially launched the team’s website. In an era where the idea of online and social media rules supreme, the opportunity to have a website in order to bring the team up to the next level.
“We really think this is an excellent opportunity to not only make Australia, but the world aware of who we are and what we are doing in our goal make the highest level of motorsport possible” said Simon, “The SHR website is a great way for people to find out what Simon Hodge Racing is all about and keep up to date with what’s happening.”
Hodge worked with Adelaide firm, JCP Creations to develop a state of the art production that presents the team in an amazing spotlight, as Simon himself steps up in the racing world. All this, following yet another successful Formula Ford test at Mallala last week, which saw Hodge eclipse his times from the previous session.
Hodge said, following the test, “The entire team were really impressed with my development, in particular considering the conditions, I managed to pass my personal best and put together some quite competitive times,” “From the first session out, the car felt amazing… And it only got better as the day progressed,” “It was great to spend the day working with the expertise of Mark and Craig (Rundle) to adapt the car to what I need to suit my driving style.”
This weekend, the team will enter the 3rd round of the 2011 Rotax Pro Tour at Port Macquarie in NSW, a venue that Simon has achieved success at in the past. “I was thrilled with the pace we had at the second round of the Pro Tour, the Arrow X1-E is really beginning to show its potential for us. Hopefully we can carry this pace into the 3rd round,” said Hodge, in light of the impending race weekend, as he also prepares for his first official Formula Ford event at Mallala Raceway in June.
