It is with sadness that the Australian Karting Association acknowledges the passing of long-time Victorian karter and office bearer Peter Rowsell.
Rowsell, 60, passed away this morning after a long illness and will be sorely missed by karters throughout South Eastern Australia.
In addition to his time on the track, Rowsell was a Club Official for Western & Weribee Kart Club and a long-time office bearer at the Go-Kart Club of Victoria, of which he was inducted as a Life Member several years ago.
Sympathies are extended to Rowsell’s wife, Marie and the Rowsell family.
Rowsell’s funeral will be conducted by Nelson Brothers Funerals at 81 Koroit Creek Rd, Williamstown Wednesday April 20 at 2.30 pm and afterwards at GKCV Clubrooms, Todd Road, Port Melbourne.
Karting Australia acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities.
We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to Elders past and present.
