Following receipt of a formal request from its affiliated State Associations (Ordinary Members) under Section 249D of the Corporations Act 2001, the Australian Karting Association Ltd (AKA Ltd), has convened a Special General Meeting (SGM) to be held on Monday, 21 January 2019.
AKA Ltd yesterday (20 December 2018) distributed official notice of the SGM to the affiliated State Associations, at which two resolutions will be considered.
The resolutions are; whether the conduct of Karting NSW through its Board, agents, and/or representatives constitutes misbehaviour or has resulted in Karting NSW as not being fit and proper to be a member of AKA Ltd and, whether or not Karting NSW should be expelled as an Ordinary Member of AKA Ltd.
Karting Australia acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities.
We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to Elders past and present.
