CADET Zayd Tones wrapped up his first Lismore Kart Club championship with a winning performance at the Lismore Showground yesterday.
Tones, 10, trailed by one point in the championship race before yesterday’s final event of the season but a second-place finish in his first race was enough to seal the title.
The Gold Coaster, who has been a member of the Lismore club for two seasons, went on to claim victory in his second and third races.
