TRI-05 – IAME KA100 Reedjet Engine
Supplies of the new IAME KA100 engine have now arrived in Australia and are being distributed to people who have purchased them.
The Engine has now completed homologation. The homologation papers can be found on the Karting Australia web site. It has also been approved for competition on KA licensed tracks as from 1 January 2015. This will be reflected in the new Class Rules that will be contained in the 2015 Australian Karting Manual.
Current Position
Effective immediately and until midnight on 31 December 2014, the KA100 engine will be permitted to be used on KA Licensed race tracks for the purpose of practice only.
The 2015 Australian Karting Manual and the Rules for 2015 take effect from 1 January 2015.
This shall apply to the following Classes:
The engine in both restricted and unrestricted formats will be permitted for use in accordance with the 2015 Rules from that time.
