Twenty-Four Australian kart racers will be in action across three separate International karting events over the next three weeks.
The 2019 Vortex SuperCup will be contested at the South Garda circuit in Lonato, Italy this weekend featuring Australian Champion Luke Pink in the Junior Rok category. Pink is competing courtesy of his prize that he secured in the 2019 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE. Rising New South Wales youngster Cody Maynes-Rutty joins him on the grid.
Also competing at the event in the 60 Mini Class is Kristian Janev, who earned his spot courtesy of a runner-up finish in the Australian Kart Championship, Nicolas Stati, Alex Ninovic and Jesse Lacey.
Next week, the focus will turn towards the Le Mans circuit in France where the IAME International Final will be contested.
Australia’s representatives at this event will be led by 2018 Australian X30 Champion Cody Gillis and recently crowned KA3 Senior Australian Champion Jack Bell. The pair are competing in the X30 Senior class courtesy of their prizes for their success in the Australian Kart Championship.
Also competing is youngster James Anagostiadis in the 60 Mini class along with James Wharton in Junior X30 while Ray Yu Wang will join Gillis and Bell in Senior X30.
Throughout the final week of October, 13 Australians will be competing at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals courtesy of their performances in the 2019 Rotax Pro Tour.
Queensland youngster Jaxson Burns will compete in Micro MAX while Kristian Janev and Costa Toparis will line up in Mini MAX. Three teenagers – Hugh Barter, Beau Pronesti and Luke Pink – will be competing in Junior MAX as Cody Gillis and Brodie Whitmore line up in Senior MAX.
