The inaugural Ultimate Club Racer event fired up at The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia on Friday.
With drivers from every State in Australia, the event is the culmination of the SP Tools Club Drivers Rankings for 2019.
With six practice sessions held throughout the day for the variety of classes, the drivers had a significant amount of track time throughout the day to adapt to the 1.17km layout.
2018 Club Driver Rankings highest pointscorer Steven Tsemelis was fastest in the KA3 Junior field with Jordan Shalala and Tyron Wiseman second and third fastest.
Youngster Jack Munro set the pace in 4SS Light ahead of fellow Queenslanders Scott Pearce and Brynn Stewart.
In the Cadet classes, New South Wales driver Kamal Mrad was fastest in Cadet 12 as did Orlando Peovitis in Cadet 9.
Qualifying for all classes will be contested tomorrow from 8am followed by the opening heat races. A final round of heats will be contested on Sunday morning ahead of the Finals from 11am.
