Two-time World Champion Bas Lammers will compete in the 2014 Sparco Rotax Nationals in Ipswich, Queensland next month.
Lammers will be competing with the Formula K Australia outfit.
Also coming down under with Lammers will be his engineer Cash van Belle, Formula K SRL’s head engineer. Cash last visited Australia last year for the Rotax Nationals at Puckapunyal.
The 28 year-old will compete in the DD2 class at the event.
“To have Bas Lammers competing is fantastic for the Formula K Australia team and a great thing for Australian Karting,” said Formula K Australia’s Jace Lindstrom.
“It really shows that manufacturers such as Formula K SRL are regarding Australia as a major market in world karting. By having these big names in world karting coming out to Australia to compete really helps lift the profile of Australian karting.”
The Sparco Rotax Nationals will be hosted by the Ipswich Kart Club on September 5/6, 2014.
